Description
This LED compatible indicator flasher relay is compatible with many motorcycles including the modern Triumph Bonneville, Bonneville SE, Bonneville T100, Scrambler and Thruxton models built up to around 2012 with VIN numbers preceding 521669 (see note below). It is a direct replacement for the Hella 4DB-003-750 flasher unit that came factory installed on many Triumph bikes. It also fits a wide range of car and other motorbike makes and models, mainly from European manufacturers.
For later Triumph models built since around 2012 (with VIN numbers following 521669) which changed to using a 2-pin flasher relay without a separate ground connection, please see the alternative LED compatible flasher relay model here.
LED lighting has so many advantages for motorcycles including a significantly lower power consumption than traditional filament lamps. The stock indicator flasher relays fitted as standard to most bikes are designed for use with conventional bulbs and as such require a certain amount of current to flow in order to flash correctly.
Some factory-fitted flasher relays feature a blown bulb warning function whereby they alter the rate at which the indicators flash if they detect a blown bulb in order to alert the rider. However, with their ultra-low power consumption, LED light conversions can often be mistaken for a blown bulb so that indicators flash too fast, too slow or maybe not at all.
This LED compatible flasher relay solves all of these problems in a simple and cost efficient unit. It is completely plug-and-play for most modern Triumph models (please check the connections before ordering as some years and models may vary). Just unplug the old flasher unit and plug this new one back in its place.
These flasher units are perfect for use with our LED light boards, as well as with generic LED bulbs and conventional filament bulbs too, or indeed any combination of these. If your bike has a single indicator warning lamp on the dashboard and therefore might be affected by the ‘cross talk’ issue (where the left indicators flash with the right, and vice versa), then consider purchasing one of our LED indicator diode wiring kits at the same time.
The flasher relay provides an audible ‘clicking’ confirmation to remind you that the indicators are flashing (assuming that it is installed somewhere you can hear it above the engine noise!).

A brand new product for October 2013 so no reviews available yet – why not be the first to leave a review?

Note this item does not fit current Boneville models – supplied for a 2014 Bonneville T100 – unfortunately now wiser during 2012 boneville models changed to a two pin system

A simple plug in replacement flasher unit that worked perfectly on my 2009 Scrambler with both replacement bulbs and then an LED bulb conversion. The OEM flasher only seems to work with OEM bulbs which appear to have some sort of resistance built into them.
