This page features a selection of photo galleries of my beloved Matchless G3LS motorbike. The first gallery shows the bike as I found it in Hyderabad, India and the subsequent galleries shows its ‘restoration’ over the following few months. There’s also some pictures of my adventures with the bike back in India and also here in Hong Kong following our relocation.
WOULD LIKE TO HAVE PHOTOS OF MATCHLESS 1951 G3LS MOTOBIKE
Hi Lyndon, I’ve eventually got around to updating this photo gallery of my ’51 G3LS so hopefully you’ll find a few interesting pictures above to look through.
Regards, James
Hello James, just to say great pics and website too (wish I was more able to code etc) I like the way you have restored the G giving it that original but lived in look, much the same as I have done with mine, did not want it looking like it just came out the showroom! Cheers mate Al
Cheers Alan. The ‘restoration’ of my G3 (if you can call it that!) was controversial, but I love the patina and remnants of the original paint so that’s the way it will stay 🙂 James
Hi, my name is Steve, I am building a 1953 G9 from parts. How do I register on this site to log in.
I live in Plumstead, not far from the original factory site. My late father worked there in the 1950s,working on cylinder heads as I recall.
Any experts local to se18 that can help or give advice would be most welcome.
